Why become a Teacher Fellow?
iTeach4Change is a paid fellowship designed for educators in action and aspiring educators, providing a year-long immersive learning journey from ignorance to impact. This program aims to facilitate inner transformation, encouraging participants to understand the purpose of education and innovate within the education space to address current challenges in the system. The concept of reaching one's fullest potential is explored, particularly for educators and teachers, who are encouraged to consider their ladder of growth. Progress in this journey requires the investment of time, willingness, and resources to introspect weaknesses and areas of uncertainty.
The journey from ignorance to impact as a Teacher Fellow.
Developing a mindset that embraces ignorance is crucial, as ignorance can stem from factors such as low self-confidence or an overconfident belief in already possessing all necessary knowledge. Breaking free from the comfort zone, often characterized by strong tenets of familiarity, is emphasized as the first step towards growth. Once the comfort zone is broken, the mind is open to freely learn and acquire new skills, knowledge, attitudes, and values that shape the career journey.
Active learning is encouraged, fostering collaboration, engagement, and mutual guidance among participants. The ability to question and seek answers independently is highlighted as essential for cultivating individual thinking, preventing the development of a herd mentality.
The program envisions an inward journey and exploration to unleash the potential of every teacher and improve their effectiveness in teaching practices. It seeks to create a conducive environment for growth and learning among educators, emphasizing critical thinking through reflective and innovative teaching methods. The training involves one-to-one guidance in a deep-dive experiential journey.
The fellowship promotes a continuous cycle of action, reflection, and further action. Even after making an impact, participants are encouraged to consciously evaluate what worked, identify areas for improvement, acknowledge remaining areas of ignorance, and become aware of new aspects. The essence of purposeful learning is emphasized as an ongoing journey of development.
The inquisition stage will only help an individual to start thinking about “Why not? How can it be done? Where ? Who ? etc.” The individual starts embracing their own ideas and implementing it. Ideas come from a mind ready to learn and unlearn. In order to do this, we must be aware of our own self, our actions, purpose and the society we aim to create.
Actions become a tool of inspiration. Creating an impact with our actions inspires not only the self but also others for larger growth. This program aims to create a growing and learning space for educators. We visualize an inward journey and exploration in order to unleash the potential of every teacher. The program aims to enrich critical thinking capacity through reflective, innovative teaching and learning methods. The training provides a one-to-one guidance in the deep dive experiential journey .
It cultivates from a rigid mind to an open one, bringing possibilities and creativity. In order to listen to others, one must be able to listen to oneself. Through this program, we unfold socially – conscious leaders, who are able to listen to their instinct rather than what is ‘normalized’.
Bringing in three variants of expressive arts, provides a platform for individuals to explore, breaking their own conscious barriers!
Ignorance can emerge from any of the factors such as low self confidence in order to try something new, over self-confidence of mindset thinking one knows everything that he/she needs to already.
If you are a teacher, but are looking to specialize your skills, this is the right opportunity for you!

I am glad to be a part of this training. I have been learning and exploring many skills in this. It has been a wonderful journey! Completing 1 week of self-exploration workshop I say that learning about oneself is the most important part of our journey which everyone is missing in their life. Self-love, self-talk, and gratitude are life skills that need to be practiced every day. I truly appreciate the team for adding this concept in teacher leadership training. As a teacher if we have self awareness of all these we can inculcate the habit of self-love in the children which will be a great benefit for them to be successful in life.

“I became a child again and became open to learning. I used to self-sabotage, but now I only tell myself ‘I can do it’ . Felt like I was rooting back and building myself up once again.”
